What Is Coronavirus (COVID-19)?

Coronavirus is one of a group of viruses that are common throughout the world. The Wuhan variant, known as COVID-19, is a new strain of coronavirus which has caused a pandemic - meaning that it has become prevalent over the entire world.

Who Is At Risk of Covid-19?

Although information is still being gathered about this new virus, we know that it poses a substantial public health risk, which can cause serious illness and even fatality in a small percentage of the population.

Those who are exposed to covid-19 may experience a fever, persistent cough, fatigue, shortness of breath and potentially a loss of taste. These symptoms, in certain people, may develop into pneumonia, which leads to breathing difficulties. Severe symptoms mostly affect those with a weakened immune system, as well as the elderly and those during pregnancy.

How can we help businesses trying to manage a rapidly changing business environment?

Ipsum Health provide:

In clinic Appointments - We have adapted our clinical environment to make it a safe as possible to patients to attend our clinics.

This includes:

Protective PPE for clinicians and administration staff
Protective Screens in reception and clinical rooms
Regular, routine cleaning of all surfaces - including additional time for the clinician to sanitise the room following each appointment.

Protocols & Procedures - Each visitor will be sent a protocol of what to do when they visit one of our clinics to minimise potential contact between patients and staff. Our policies and procedures have also been updated to help staff recognise potential issues and implement safe practises relating to covid-19 within the clinical environment.

Remote Appointments - Most occupational health appointments can be conducted remotely via video or phone. We have an integrated system for video appointments, which allows us to arrange and undertake remote appointments, without the need for installation or set-up.
